100 Weddings Interview!
On average, how many weddings do you host a year?
25-30 plus small events like baby showers, bridal showers, graduation parties, anniversary parties
How did you feel hosting your very first wedding?
Our first wedding was March 20, 2021.
I was so excited and a little nervous. Issac (previous owner) came for the weekend to show us how a wedding weekend would typically run for them. We caught on very quickly and knew this was exactly where we should be.
What are some of the most valuable things you’ve learned along the way? Tips for other venue owners?
So many lessons have been learned…
Communication is key when planning any event big or small.
Our clients and couples are always right— we want to make this the happiest day/weekend of their life.
We cannot control the weather 😅
Staying calm during any situation big or small is the biggest key to success!
Your favorite traditions your couples have done?
I loved the Wedding Cookie Table, a tradition in Pittsburgh where all guests bring a few dozen cookies to be set out on a big table. Guests pack up a to-go box at the end of the night— makes the cutest wedding favor!
What did the craziest/busiest wedding weekend look like for you?
The weekends where I book back to back weddings. I have done this on holiday weekends where we traditionally have a wedding on Saturday and Sunday (we usually offer this on Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend) we always pull it off, but my team could kill me! 😅
