Johnson Wedding

On June 15th, Alexis and Spencer officially became The Johnsons! The planning process with these two was a dream. Working with a couple as laid-back and kind as the Johnsons makes our job feel easy.

Getting Ready

Alexis started on hair and makeup with her bridesmaids and flower girls in The Cottage.

Their dresses hung on wooden hangers with coordinating bows tied to them. We love this touch— it added a delicate, feminine essence to the photos.

Spencer and his groomsmen shared drinks in the Post Office before getting dressed.

First Looks

Alexis chose to do a first look with her father and it made for the sweetest private moment before he walked her down the aisle.

Alexis and Spencer did their first look before the ceremony, as well. One reason we might recommend this is because it gets you more photos and less wait time for your guests during cocktail hour.

Ceremony

Spencer and Alexis chose our outdoor aisle for their ceremony space. Once again, the weather held up in our favor! It was partly sunny and a pleasant 75 degrees.

Fur-ever Memories

One of our favorite parts of the Johnson’s wedding day was their family portraits with their two dogs— who, might I say, are looking dapper and well-dressed for the occasion.

Cocktail hour

Guests enjoyed cocktail hour out in the courtyard amongst the lights and trees.

Reception

Alexis’ dad built their seating chart display. The gorgeous arch added elegance to such a unique presentation. Every guests name was printed on an acrylic sign beside a white rose.

We instantly fell in love with this piece and decided it needed to become a part of our permanent collection.

Big thank-you to Alexis and her father for allowing us to purchase this from them! Our future brides will be thrilled to use this display to make their wedding dreams come true.

The reception dinner was held inside, while the dance floor was out on the back patio. The Johnsons kept their decor classic in black, white, and gold.

A candle arrangement of various heights lined the middle of the harvest table with baby’s breath sprinkled throughout.

One exciting new feature at The Mill District is the option to add a disco ball to your dance floor. The reflective light creates enough fun to get anyone out of their chair to dance!

The bride and her mother created these grids with hanging florals on the ceiling. We also had to have those and purchased them from the bride for future wedding use!

Spencer and Alexis danced the night away with their loved ones. We enjoyed getting to know this marvelous couple and would like to congratulate them again on their marriage. May the love you shared this day grow stronger every year. Cheers!
