Where are you located?

The Mill District is located at 6770 E. 750 N. in Fremont, Indiana. We are just west of Clear Lake in Steuben County. We have hosted many weddings from couples from Angola, Fort Wayne, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo, Detroit, Toledo, Indianapolis, and Chicago.

How many guests can you accommodate for a wedding?

The Mill District can host up to 250 guests.

How much is required to reserve a wedding date?

The venue rental is split into 3 equal payments. They are due at the time of booking, 6 months from your wedding, and 30 days from your wedding. Additional services (DJ, Bar, Decor, Coordination, Catering) is not due until your final walkthrough.

What makes you wedding venue All-Inclusive?

We offer in house DJ, Decor, Coordination, Planning, Food, Beverage, Floral, Photography, and Officiant.

Will you hold a date for me?

No. Dates are only reserved for couples that have paid their initial balance and signed a contract.

Do I have to use your in house services?

The only required services are Bar, and DJ. Everything else is optional.

Most couples choose our planning, coordination, and decor because it simplifies the entire wedding experience. Having one team handle multiple parts of your day means fewer vendors, less emails, and a seamless experience.

How does DJ James Thomson know what to play?

Before your wedding, you’ll complete a detailed music planing doc that covers ceremony songs, special dances, cocktail hour, dinner, and open dancing. We’ll review this at your final walkthrough. On your wedding day, DJ James combines your vision with live crowd reading and (optional) guest requests to keep the dance floor full all night.

Do you allow dogs?

Yes! The bride and groom may bring their dog for the ceremony and photos for no additional fee. Weekend stay for your dog is available for a fee.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We prefer cash or check but we will accept card for a 3% fee.

Do you allow sparklers?

Yes! A beautiful sendoff is a great way to celebrate. You must hire The Mill District for a sparkler sendoff. We provide the XL sparklers, assist in coordination, light, and dispose of trash. We provide all of this for $250.

What is a wedding rehearsal like at The Mill District?

Our weekend wedding package includes access to The Mill District for your rehearsal at 5 PM the evening before your wedding. This includes use of your ceremony location (indoor or outdoor), space for a rehearsal dinner with up to 40 guests, and access to both Airbnb rentals for the evening.

Do you allow fireworks?

Due to county ordinance, Fireworks are not permitted outside of new years and July 4th.

Do you provide a parking attendant?

Yes! A parking attendant/ greeter will help guide guests to parking, and ceremony.

Do you provide signage?

Yes, we provide black A-frame signage that complements the elevated look of The Mill District. On your wedding day, the signs are placed throughout the property to help guide guests to parking, restrooms, the ceremony, and the reception.

Can guests leave their cars overnight?

Absolutely! We encourage safe rides, so guests may park cars until checkout time the next morning.

Do I need to bring toiletries or other essentials to the guests houses?

No, the guest houses are fully stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, hand soap, q-tips, cotton balls, toilet paper, paper towels steamers, irons, laundry supplies, towels, hand towels, face towels, and linens.

Do you allow drones?

Yes. Your videographer must be commercially licensed and insured.
